The Glacier Park College Soccer Showcase is dedicated to elevating the sport in Northwest Montana — bridging the gap between our passionate local soccer community and the collegiate game, so every young player in the Valley can see what’s possible.
ABOUT US
OUR STORY
Local Flathead Valley event promoters O’Brien Byrd and Rob Brisendine shared a dream — to bring NCAA Division I college soccer to Northwest Montana. The motivation was simple but powerful: to inspire local youth soccer players to dream big and witness the game played at the highest level. With no college soccer programs in the area, kids here rarely get the opportunity to see elite play firsthand — and even more rarely get to imagine themselves on that stage someday. With the generous financial support of Discover Kalispell, the Glacier Park College Soccer Showcase was born.
In August 2024, the Showcase brought the University of Montana Grizzlies and Gonzaga University to Flip Darling Memorial Field at Columbia Falls High School. A sold-out crowd of 1,200 fans showed up — and a tradition was born. In 2025, the University of Montana returned to face the Air Force Academy in front of another record crowd. That year, GPCSS expanded its programming by adding free clinics run by both college programs, with over 100 local kids taking the field alongside collegiate players.
In the spring of 2026, GPCSS brought men’s college soccer to Legends Stadium in Kalispell, hosting Evergreen State, Carroll College, and Spokane Falls CC for a three-game exhibition day — further proof that the Flathead Valley is ready for this stage.
This August 6th, 7th, and 8th, the Showcase returns with even more to offer: a college clinic with the University of Montana Grizzlies on the 6th, Montana vs. Mount Royal on the 7th, and Gonzaga vs. Mount Royal on the 8th.
GPCSS is committed to growing college soccer in Northwest Montana — one match, one clinic, one dream at a time.
DREAM BIG. PLAY BIG.
